PayAssist, Inc, (“PayAssist”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to the protection of your personal, corporate, and financial information. The following privacy policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes how we collect, use and manage your personal, corporate and financial information, as well as how we protect your information and privacy. This Privacy Policy applies to individuals and businesses that provide personal, business or financial information to PayAssist.
PayAssist reserves the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it regularly. Any changes made to this Privacy Policy will be posted here. Information Collection
What Information We Collect
The only personal, corporate and financial information we collect is what you and your business voluntarily choose to give to us directly, or give us access to. With that in mind, we may collect the following types of information about you and your business, primarily through the Application for Merchant Card Processing, which you fill out and provide to us:
- Information about your business, including its:
- legal name, d/b/a, address, phone/fax number(s),
- taxpayer identification number,
- corporate articles,
- government-issued business license,
- voided check or letter from its bank, including routing and account numbers, and
- certain other identifiable information (such as its tax returns and financial statements, when applicable, merchant processing statements, and Discover ® card merchant ID and/or American Express® merchant ID;
- Certain personally identifiable information of the owner(s) and/or officer(s) of the business, including their:
- name, mailing address, phone/fax number(s) and e-mail address,
- date of birth,
- social security number,
- driver’s license number (or other State-issued I.D. used for Patriot Act Addendum),
- voided check or letter from their bank, including routing and account numbers,
- tax returns and financial statements,
- Internet Protocol (IP) address, and
- Other information provided by you to us in any way.
Our services are not intended for anyone under the age of 18, nor do we knowingly collect or retain information in connection with our services from children under the age of 13.
How We Collect This Information
We may collect information in the following ways:
- Through paper forms filled out by you, including the Application for Merchant Card Processing;
- Through information you may submit to us through our website, payassistinc.com
- Through e-mail, e-fax and other communications by you;
- Through telephone calls made by you to us, or vice versa;
- Through referring websites or third parties, such as by Merchants regarding Customers;
Information Use and Sharing
How We May Use and Share the Information We Collect
Except as specifically provided in this Privacy Policy, we will never share, sell, or rent any information we collect from you, but may sell or share aggregate, non-personal information with third parties for any legally permissible purpose. We will share your and your business and financial information with Transfirst or other third parties that we represent . We may, in some cases, have third parties assist us in providing services, and those third parties will have access to certain of the personally identifiable information provided by you. We may also use information collected, including personal, corporate and financial information, and may share such information with third parties in the following ways:
- To market, operate, monitor and deliver our services,
- To improve or tailor the user experience with regard to our services;
- To provide information and offers regarding our services, as well as other products and services offered by or through us or selected third parties;
- To prevent fraud or for legal compliance or public purpose, and/or to release information to the relevant authority in the event of a breach by you of any of our terms of use, or if we are under a legal obligation to disclose such information;
- To provide, sell, or transfer information to a company that acquires, is acquired by or is merged with us, including in connection with any bankruptcy proceedings, and
- To identify you and/or your business.
Data Protection
We take reasonable precautions to protect the confidentiality and security of your personal information by using industry recognized security safeguards such as site monitoring, secured networks and servers, firewalls, and encryption. When we ask for sensitive information, we protect it through the use of encryption during transmission, such as SSL (Secure Socket Layer). We regularly update our technology to enhance security. No method of transmission over the internet or telecom systems is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to protect your personal information within industry standards, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
Our employees are trained and required to safeguard your information. Our strict internal controls limit access to information based on job functionality.
Use of Web Browser Features
Do Not Track
When you use our website, we may receive “do not track” requests from you, whether via signals from Web browsers or other mechanisms. We do not respond to such “do not track” requests, because we do not track your movements, or knowingly allow third parties to track your movements from our website, although we may choose to do so in the future.

Accessing Your Information
If your personally identifiable information or corporate information changes, or if you no longer choose to use our services, you can contact us by e-mail, privacy@payassistinc.com or by using the contact information listed below to assist you with changes to your account. If your account(s) close or become inactive, we will continue to protect your information as described in this privacy policy.
Your California Privacy Rights

Business Transitions
In the event that we go through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition or sale, your personal information will likely be among the assets transferred.
